I produced some draft ideas for my front cover, double page spreads layout and the articles that will feature on my double page spreads. I have done this to allow me to vision different ideas and will make it easier for me to make a decision on what my final pieces look like.
Front Covers
For my front covers all the drafts consist of the same masthead and sell lines, the only difference between them is the image used on the background.
Double Page Spread Layouts

After creating drafts for my double page spreads, I decided to change my targeted fashion from winter fashion to autumn fashion. Therefore, on the left page where it is titled ‘Winter Essentials’, instead it will be ‘Autumn Essentials’.

Feedback
After completing my three drafts I asked a couple of people to give me feedback about my drafts and potential things I could improve on.
For my front cover, the feedback I got was that they really liked the bottom right one as it had direct eye contact which connected more with the audience and they really liked the sell lines. Also they thought that the colour of the masthead worked well with the background of the front cover as it stands out and makes it obvious to the audience that it is a fashion magazine due to the masthead being ‘Apparel’.
For my double page spreads they really liked my first draft, the ‘autumn essentials’ one as the layout of the text made it easy for the audience to read. However, for my second double page spread draft, the ‘Fashion’ one, they mentioned that on the right page I should put the text to the right and the image on the left, leaving the ‘Fashion’ going across the page to stand out more.
When it comes to my articles, I wrote out my first one which is under ‘Draft 1’, I then got feedback from it and improved it which is under ‘Draft 2’. Finally, I got more feedback on my second article draft which is when I produced my third and final draft.
